Day 253: Play (?)

Always a crossword puzzle to solve.
Always colours to match up in individual squares.
Always time running out.
Always a poised hand ready to hit that buzzer.
When did ‘complex’ become the only game in town?

  1. Seriously.

For me it seems the complexity comes not from wondering what to do /what I feel in the present, but from worrying about the consequences of today's decisions on tomorrow(s). I don't like that fact at all, but it seems a product of getting older. Maybe everything feels more complex because the stakes get higher toward the end of the game. Just wondering.

Not the case in your situation yet - you haven't begun to age. :) Thanks for your writing, in case I don't say it enough - you always make me think.
